Kamal Pankhania

Chief Executive Officer

Kamal Pankhania is Chief Executive Officer at the Westcombe Group and has played a pivotal role in transforming the Group from a successful family property business into a premier top 25 UK property and hospitality group with an enviable reputation for delivering complex regeneration projects, sympathetically restoring historic buildings, and creating long-term accretive value.

Through Kamal’s continuing strategic expansion of Westcombe’s Acre Hotels collection, the Group has strengthened further its market-leading status as a trusted partner for global premium brands including Accor, Hilton and IHG. At the same time, Kamal has continued to grow Westcombe’s international business through the Group’s diversified presence in Europe, the Middle East and USA.

In the UK, under Kamal’s leadership, the Westcombe Group now provides affordable homes through its own housing association, the Dholak Partnership; Kamal is particularly proud of the role these homes played during the pandemic, being made available to key workers during this period of unprecedented national challenge.

Kamal also oversees the Westcombe Group’s philanthropic branch, the Westcombe Foundation, with his father Vraj Pankhania serving as Chairman, wife Shraddha Pankhania as Foundation Manager and brother Sunil Pankhania as Co-Chairman. The Foundation funds disaster relief and vital infrastructure including schools and hospitals in Kenya, Nairobi, India, Nepal and elsewhere. In the UK, the Foundation partners with charities such as Crisis and the Trussell Trust, as well as environmental initiatives like The Queen’s Green Canopy that celebrated Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee.

Kamal sits on the Advisory Board of the British Asian Trust and has been a committed supporter of the Conservative Party throughout his life. He previously served on the Conservative Business Advisory Board under Rishi Sunak and, in November 2024, Kemi Badenoch appointed him national Senior Treasurer of the Party. He supports the Party’s work to rebuild while also contributing to the development of its cradle-to-grave economic policies to promote enterprise, investment and long-term growth.
