Sunil Pankhania is a property developer and entrepreneur leading on Westcombe Group’s construction projects and developments as the firm’s Chief Operations Director.
Sunil Pankhania began to lead Westcombe Group’s operations in 2003. Westcombe Group is a family development and property development business specialising in converting and reinvigorating beautiful Grade I and Grade II listed buildings which have fallen into disuse and disrepair. The company provides stunning homes that help to meet the housing demands of tomorrow.
After studying Construction Management and Real Estate Development at University College London, Sunil Pankhania joined the family businesses as Chief Operations Officer in 2003. In this role, Sunil leads on management, development and progression of the company’s projects. He has overseen the expansion and development of Westcombe Group’s properties and activities outside of London.
Westcombe Group is a family business which is motivated by helping people who find themselves in moments of crisis and by giving back to local communities. Under the collective leadership of Vraj Pankhania, Kamal Pankhania and Sunil Pankhania (the Chairman, CEO and COO of the family business), Westcombe Group has set up the Dholak Partnership, the company’s own social housing association, to provide affordable homes amongst its developments. Over the last few years, Westcombe Group delivered affordable homes to key workers who were working to save lives.
Sunil Pankhania has led the development of some of Westcombe Group’s most ambitious and challenging projects. For example, he oversaw and managed the development and construction of the company’s St Bernard’s Hospital project in Ealing, London. This was a former mental hospital which was disused and empty for over 25 years before Westcombe acquired it in 2014.
